Why do this? Launch a Podcast?

I'm trying to slay a dragon.

I never had a business mentor.  I really wished I had one back in the day.  But I didn't.  Frankly, I was too embarrassed to ask.    And so I was slow, I spent to much time and money, and make a lot of mistakes launching and scaling my video production business.

Fast forward nearly 20 years in professional video production,  I have a solid business.  And I want to put myself, my experience, and the wisdom of my guests direct to you in order to maybe help some be more successful in this business. And so today, I'm taking a step into the exciting realm of podcasting, and I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings as I embark on this new adventure with you.

As a veteran broadcaster with decades of experience in video production (as well as radio and television), I've had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of media firsthand. From the days of black-and-white broadcasts to the digital age we live in today, I've seen it all. But now, it's time to take a leap into the world of podcasting, a medium that has captured the hearts and ears of millions around the globe.

My new podcast, "Video MBA," is my way of shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes of the video production world. These are the talented professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring our favorite videos (corporate, marketing, TV shows, commercials, and other online content) to life. Through insightful interviews and engaging conversations, I aim to share their knowledge, their successes (and mistakes) in hopes of helping you grow your business.   "Video MBA" is my way of giving back to an industry that has given me so much over the years.

But I have to admit, I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as I embark on this journey. While my background in broadcasting has taught me the art of storytelling, connecting with an audience through a podcast is a new challenge. It's a different medium, with its own rules and nuances, and I'm eager to learn and adapt.

I'm also thrilled to be diving headfirst into the world of video production from a fresh perspective. While I may be a veteran broadcaster from WAAAY back in the day, I'm a newcomer to the podcasting scene, and I hope to bring a unique blend of experience and curiosity to each episode.

So, as I take this exciting step into the podcasting universe, I invite you to join me on this journey. Whether you're a seasoned pro in the world of video production or someone who's just starting to explore the possibilities, I hope "Video MBA" will be a valuable resource and an entertaining source of inspiration for you.

Stay tuned for some incredible conversations with industry experts, insightful discussions, and maybe a few surprises along the way. Together, we'll unlock the secrets of success in the world of video production, one podcast episode at a time.

Thank you for your support, and here's to the exciting adventures that lie ahead!

Warm regards,

Paul
